Some of the best dub style music comes from New Zealand. Dub is a derivative from drum and bass but has its roots in reggae. One of the most known d&b artist is Aphrodite. Dub music has been made popular by one of the most well known artists in its genre, namely Massive Attack but also more reggae influenced artists such as Mad Professor and Squeek-a-mouse. Some kiwi artists you should check out are:

– Shapeshifter
– Salmonella dub
– Rhombus

I love mountainbike riding in and around Canberra. When it’s Sunday, the weather is good, 18C and you can’t be arsed to hang out with people, go for a bike ride with your camera! Anyway here are some shots I took. 🙂

If you are wondering about my research, it’s all going swell. Just doing heaps of experiments and some reading although at the moment I’m not really bothered to browse through heaps of articles. That time will come!

Ok so I joined the social network Hyves at last as well. You know, if you do one thing why not the rest aye? 😉 Since Hyves is more of a Dutch idea it’ll keep my international friends separate from my Dutch friends. So it’s all good. Maybe even for the best 😛

At first I thought it was like myspace or like a dating site, but it’s not and quite a lot of fun too have your own page! The site is free of flashy animations unless you go out of your way to try and put that shit on it. The layout is pretty good too and you can drag the boxes around until you are satisfied. Just give it a go if you haven’t already. It’s also a nice place to discover your old friends from school or where you’ve previously lived!
